Area residents who enjoy watching big equipment at work are finding plenty to watch as site preparation is underway for the Greene County Medical Center expansion.
Recent work included hauling in 30,000 cubic yards, or 36,450 tons, of dirt to assure the solidity of the foundation for the 51,000 square-feet of new construction. Another 48,000 square-feet of the existing building will also be renovated as part of the $22.5 million project.
